The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that neither the party’s decisions nor actions nor tomorrow’s Ondo State governorship primary election will be impacted by the alleged suspension of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje the party’s national chairman.

This was said by Senator Ajibola Basiru national secretary of the APC yesterday at the opening of the Ondo State Governorship Election and Appeals Committees at the party’s secretariat in Abuja.

Basiru said that the party had received an order from a Federal High Court instructing that the supposed suspension by the imposters (Ganduje Ward EXCO) be placed on hold while the case is being decided.

A lot of false information is spread regarding our party situation. A Federal High Court order which we have obtained states that the impostor’s alleged suspension should be halted while the case is being decided. Since we have a court order from a competent authority stating that the party chairman’s status will be preserved we are not breaking any rules.

He started The order is still in effect and enforceable until it is overturned by a different court with the necessary authority. Ganduje said at the committee’s inauguration that they had been given free rein to conduct the exercise by the party’s policies and guidelines as well as current laws.

Ladies and gentlemen this is a very important exercise he declared. Democracy as you know is democracy at work. The debate over democracy is a whole department as you are aware.

We are capable of the task but we do not anticipate a completely peaceful process. We anticipate that you will be alert well-organized and focused. We got in touch with every party involved. To ensure that the venue was sufficiently covered security agencies were contacted.

As per the party constitution, the panel will select the most suitable candidate for the party according to Usman Ododo the chairman of the Kogi State governorship primary election and the governor of Kogi State.

Joel Salifu Ododos’s deputy represented him when he stated that he would work with every committee member to produce the best candidate for the Ondo gubernatorial election.

While doing this we shall adhere to the tenets beliefs and platform of our esteemed party. And there will be peace once again both before and after Ondo State election.
