A leader of the APC, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, said it is bad and rude for anyone to threaten the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.

He warned the president-general of the Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI), Bright Amaewhule, and others not to disrespect the Governor of the state and to show respect to the person holding the office.

Eze said in a statement in Port Harcourt yesterday that Amaewhule’s angry comments make him eligible to be questioned by the security agencies. Eze also asked the Police to get involved quickly to stop other criminals.

The APC leader said it’s unbelievable that troublemakers pretending to be involved in politics would have the courage to threaten a governor in public without thinking about the legal consequences. They are only trying to impress a political boss.

He praised Fubara for being peaceful but also warned anyone who thinks he is weak and tries to cause trouble, that the governor has the power to deal with them firmly.

Eze said that the police chief and other security groups know about the threat and need to speak up before the situation gets worse.

He said: “Don’t get the wrong idea about Governor Fubara and how he’s leading the State. God chose Fubara to help Rivers State and its people. He’s here to rescue the State from those who have kept it in darkness for the past eight years. ”

The present IGR is N27 Billion, which is much higher than in the past eight years. That is pure evil.
