The Nigerian Army, along with other security forces, stopped a person who was making homemade bombs for a group called the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and their security team in Imo State.

The Nigerian Army carried out the operation on Thursday, as stated in a Facebook post by the Army Headquarters.

The Nigerian army and other security forces were clearing out areas in Orsu Local Government Area when they fought the attackers.

The post said that the bad people shot at the soldiers and threw bombs and rockets at them during the operation.

“As the soldiers moved forward, the terrorists set off some bombs and ran away in confusion. ” One of the rebels was stopped while trying to set up the bomb.

“We found homemade rocket launchers, bombs that were made safe, pipes, wires, and other things used to make explosive weapons and homemade rocket launchers. ” The soldiers also protected a few ditches on the roads between the communities from the ESN fighters.

“The Nigerian Army will keep doing its job to prevent the rebellious people from doing what they want,” the statement said.
