Twenty people are believed to have died in a bad car crash between a bus and a truck in Owerri, the capital of Imo state. The bus belonged to the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Renewal Movement.

The crash on Friday morning has caused a lot of traffic on the busy Owerri-Onitsha road.

A person who saw the accident said that some people were stuck under the bus and it wasn’t clear if they were still alive. Five people died right away and were taken to the hospital by an ambulance.

He said the church bus crashed into a big truck and then into a Coca-Cola building, and three people who worked there died.

He said, “The crash involved a big bus carrying people from the Lord’s Chosen church and a dump truck. ” Two vehicles were driving from Onitsha to Owerri. The bus tried to pass the tipper but they crashed and the bus lost control. The driver tried to steer the car but it crashed into a Coca-Cola building. More than ten workers at the building were hit by the car.

“When people came together and began to help the victims from the car, we found out that three Coca-Cola workers had died right away and others were hurt badly. ”

“The driver and his helper also died in the accident. ” The driver was pulled out of the back of the truck and the truck ran over his head, crushing his brain. The driver also banged his chest on the steering wheel and died from bleeding. “It was a really bad accident,” the person who saw it happen said.

One person who lives near the church said that no one from the church who was on the bus died in the accident, but they did get hurt in different ways.

He said, “It was the fault of the driver chosen by the Lord. ” He tried to pass the big truck without thinking about how narrow the road was. As I talk right now, many people are still trapped under the Lord’s Chosen’s vehicle.

“We tried to pull the car out but we couldn’t do it. ” We used a strong truck to pull it out and check if there were people under it, but there were none.

Attempts to talk to the men from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who were at the scene of the incident were unsuccessful because they did not want to talk to the press.

I tried to speak with the Public Relations Officer of FRSC, but I couldn’t reach him because his phone numbers didn’t work.
