The main opposition party in the state will prevail in the November 16 2024 governorship election according to boasts made by Mr. Eyitayo Jegede SAN a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Ondo State.
In a statement he signed Jegede expressed confidence that the PDP will following the governorship election on November 16 return the state to a path of growth and development.
Sending congratulations to Hon. Agboola Ajayi who emerged victorious from the PDPs Thursday primary appealed to fellow contenders to work together with the party’s nominee to save the state.
It says I extend my congratulations to H. E. Alfred Agboola Ajayi on his announcement that he would be the PDP candidate for governor of Ondo State in the upcoming gubernatorial election later this year. I also like to congratulate the PDP family on organizing the party primary so well.
The primary election results undoubtedly mark the start of the epic battle to unseat the APC-led government and return Ondo State to its previous trajectory of progress and prosperity. Now is the moment to work together to create a party that will realize the dreams and ambitions of the people.
In the statement, the eminent lawyer urged all of the candidates—many of whom also happen to be from the southern senatorial zone—to fully support the nominee and contribute to the massive effort for the revival of our beloved state.
