Boosie Badazz has no problem voicing his opinions. Regardless of the subject or the backlash he may receive online, the rapper is not afraid to voice his opinions.

He is a very entertaining figure in hip-hop because of his unapologetic attitude, but it also gives his few instances of sincere apologies a real sense. On April 4, Boosie apologized on Instagram for the racially insensitive remarks he had made about Hailey Van Lith, a white athlete at LSU.

To begin with, background. In a since-deleted X post, Boosie attacked Van Lith after LSU’s defeat. Rapper Van Lith was charged with being afraid to face Iowa’s top athlete, Caitlin Clark.

“Our Caucasian girl was extremely afraid of Clark,” he wrote. “We need to do some serious recruiting next year.

Why was she guarding her in the first place? Fans were offended by the racial overtones, but Boosie would have still received criticism for singling out Van Lith. Boosie gave in because it’s difficult to hold one player accountable for a team loss.

In an Instagram video that he posted from inside his car, the rapper referred to Van Lith. He acknowledged that his remarks were improper but blamed them on his excitement for the game.

“Hey, I want to apologize to Hailey Van Lith,” Boosie stated. “That’s my bad. I got in my feelings. I really wanted y’all to win, man.” Furthermore, he extended the apology to LSU, and clarified that it came from a place of support. “I apologize to you and to LSU,” he added. “I mean, that’s all I can say, I got in my feelings. Really wanted y’all to beat Iowa.”

Boosie’s allegiance to LSU is well-known and widely recognized by his admirers. After the LSU women’s basketball team achieved their inaugural NCAA tournament championship in 2023, the rapper commemorated the victory by severing the nets attached to the baskets in his garden. “Congratulations from all of us,”

“He stated in the caption of his Instagram post.” Boosie’s behavior gained some attention online, with many mocking the rapper for behaving like a team member. Irrespective of the perceived silliness of his behavior, supporters cannot deny his unwavering enthusiasm for his college sports team.
