At the present 13th Africa Games in Ghana, Team Nigeria has won its first gold medal in boxing, thanks to Ojo Joy Nene.She accomplished the feat at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra by winning by walkover after Selmoun Chahira, her opponent from Algeria, failed to show up for their women’s 57kg match.The nine other Nigerians who have already qualified for the finals will be hoping to achieve the same feat when they step into the ring this Friday evening.
