Vice President Kashim Shettima came back to Nigeria on Tuesday evening. He was in Kenya for the IDA21 Summit, representing President Bola Tinubu.

When the Vice President arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, he privately met with the United States Deputy Secretary, Kurt Campbell, and his team.

Stanley Nwocha, his spokesman, said they talked about security, working together with other countries, having the same goals, sharing technology, working together on the economy, and partnering.

Both countries promised to improve their relationship with each other and strengthen their connections.

Deputy Secretary Campbell recently visited Nigeria and co-chaired the sixth US-Nigeria Binational Commission with Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar.
