UNICEF and IHS Towers, with help from Canada, gave a machine that makes oxygen to the government of Ebonyi State.

The big project is at the Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki.

Rownak Khan from UNICEF Nigeria said that the oxygen gas plant project in Ebonyi State is a result of teamwork between the government, UNICEF, IHS Towers, and the Government of Canada.

She said the promise was to help make the healthcare system better and make sure everyone, especially those who are most at risk, can get the oxygen they need to stay alive.

“Today is an important day for healthcare in Ebonyi State. ” We are here to see the oxygen Gas Plant being given to the Ebonyi State Government. This is a big moment and I am proud to be a part of it on behalf of UNICEF, the Government of Canada, and IHS Towers.

“The opening of the Oxygen Gas Plant shows that we are committed to keeping the people of Ebonyi State healthy and well. ” “It shows how working together and being dedicated can help fix important gaps in healthcare buildings,” Khan said.

She said that when UNICEF and the Ebonyi State government worked together, they were able to do a lot. The project showed that when organizations have the same goals and work together, they can make a big difference.

The UNICEF Nigeria Deputy Representative said that they have been doing a lot of things to make Ebonyi State healthier, like checking how things are going, teaching healthcare workers, and spreading national policies. Each thing they do is like a piece of a puzzle building a better future for the state.

“At the heart of what we do is making sure that women and children are the main focus of our efforts to improve their health. ” We want to make sure that all mothers and children can get the care they need.

“As we plan for the future, we are focused on making sure everyone has fair access to good health care. This means we will make more medical Oxygen, use solar power, and make sure that health resources are spread out evenly. “

She said it’s really important to keep working hard to make sure our program continues to have a big effect and that everyone can still get healthcare easily. “

She said she’s sure the Oxygen Gas Plant will help a lot of people in Ebonyi State.

Francis Nwifuru, the governor of Ebonyi State, had someone else represent him in starting the project. Patricia Obila thinks the Oxygen Gas Plant will help many sick people at the hospital who don’t have enough oxygen.

Mrs (short for “missus”) Obila said thank you to UNICEF for the help. She also said the State Government will check the plant often to make sure it’s being used properly. She asked the hospital to use the plant carefully.

The Chief Medical Director, Dr. __, at Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki, responded. Robinson Onoh said the oxygen plant can make 6,000 liters of oxygen every day for the state. The plant will be run by both staff and the state government.

“This is exactly what we have been searching for. Now, we will be able to produce our own oxygen at the hospital with the help of UNICEF. “

“We want to let everyone know that our plant has skilled engineers who will work there. We will make sure to regularly produce oxygen for the hospital so that patients can get it for free. This will help save many lives. “

“Oxygen is very important for humans to live. UNICEF has provided oxygen to hospitals and states to help people stay alive. ” We want to say thank you to UNICEF and the state for helping this hospital make oxygen.

“We won’t need to go to Port Harcourt or anywhere else to get oxygen anymore. ” We have enough resources to help our patients and other states may want to get some from us.

“I want to put solar panels on the oxygen plant so we don’t have to spend a lot of money on diesel. Using diesel for power is costly and makes the production more expensive. ” “But if we use solar energy, the production cost and the cost for patients will be lower,” the CMD said.
