The person in charge of the House of Representatives, Honorable. Abbas Tajudeen says Nigeria loses around 300,000 barrels of oil every day because of theft and damage to pipelines.
He said it is calculated to be N1. 29 trillion every year.
Yesterday, he gave a speech at the opening of the new Naval Training Command headquarters in Ebubu community, Eleme, Rivers State. Governor Siminalayi Fubara performed the opening ceremony.
Tajudeen, who had someone else speak for him, challenged the Nigerian Navy to do their job and help the country’s economy.
