The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, is very sad about the damage caused by a fire from a tanker carrying fuel on the East-West road in Eleme local government area.

Seventy vehicles caught fire after a tanker flipped over on Friday night and spilled its contents, causing a fire. Four people died in the accident.

Fubara, along with the Police Commissioner and the State Commissioner, said the accident was very sad.

The governor said he got a call from the boss of Indorama Petrochemical and Fertiliser Company about the incident. He then told the security agencies to go to the area to make sure it was safe and prevent the situation from getting worse.

The governor said, “We are here to see for ourselves and get information about what happened last night. ” Around 7:30 to 8:00pm, we found out how serious the incident was. I was told that a truck carrying gasoline caused it.

“I got the information from the boss at Indorama, and I quickly told the security agencies to take charge of the security in that area. ” From what we can see this morning, it was not a nice situation. We saw many cars being destroyed and people dying.

Fubara said he asked the government to give him all the information they found so the state government can make the right decisions and help reduce the problems for the affected people.

Fubara said: “I have already asked the important organizations to give us all the information so that we can fully understand the situation and see how we can help the families who have lost loved ones. We also want to lessen the impact of the losses, which I believe is not their fault. “

“We all know how bad this road is. ” It’s very sad. Many of our people should be careful when traveling on this road.

“I think this could have been prevented if the drivers had followed the rules. ” It’s already late. The harm has occurred. This is the situation we are in. The governor said we will figure out how to manage the result of the situation.
